Custom Cabins

Cabin interiors engineered around the building: finishes, lighting and layout specified per project.

A cabin is the only part of a lift that passengers actually see and touch, which is why we treat it as a design problem rather than a catalogue selection. Bronze Lift specifies cabin interiors around the building they belong to: the architecture, the traffic they carry, and the shaft that already exists.

Engineered to the shaft, not to a catalogue

Every cabin is dimensioned against the real elevator shaft, the required load capacity and the door openings available. Surface finishes, handrails, lighting and ceiling layout are then specified per project. Because the structural envelope is settled first, the design that reaches the drawing is one that can actually be installed.

What is specified per project

  • Wall finishes: stainless steel, painted steel, glass, timber or mirror panels in combinations chosen with the architect.
  • Lighting: indirect ceiling lighting or spot arrangements, all with LED sources.
  • Floor: stone, composite or client-supplied material, matched to the landing floor where that is wanted.
  • Car operating panel, handrails and signalling, positioned to the accessibility requirements that apply to the building.
  • Protective and functional detail: bumper rails, mirror placement, ventilation and emergency lighting.

Working with us on a cabin

Send us the shaft drawings, the intended traffic and the architectural intent. We come back with a cabin specification that fits the opening you have, states what is fixed and what remains open, and carries the finishes through to manufacture and delivery.
